Give The Drummer Some

Here it is!! The first track from Travis Barkers upcoming album "Give The Drummer Some". The track is called "Jump Down" and features The Cool Kids. The beat, which Barker produced, has that ill live drum feel without going overboard, and the slow, retro rhyme style of The Cool Kids once again sound fresh. Thumbs up...

Okay, finally it´s been released. The long awaited mixtape "Pep Rally" by Hoodie Allen. He took the same formular like Chiddy Bang. Take hip indie tunes and cut them up with some punchy synths and cool hip hop beats. The result is great. "Pep Rally" is a high energy, fun mixtape with help from samples by Beach House, Florence + The Machine, The Black Keys and more! Luv it...

What's the 411, hon'?

I´m not really into R&B, but this pretty lady changed it all. I remember a live appearance feat.
Grand Puba at Yo! MTV Raps for her first album `What`s the 411?`. Wow, it was fantastic. Her powerful and soulful voice in line with Puff Daddy's rough, jagged, hip-hop beats made for a winning combination that remains. The combination of vocals over a hip hop beat became influential in R&B.
Her new single is called `Anything You Want` and features Busta Rhymes and dancehall’s 2010 go-to guy, Gyptian. The song is done on a modified version of the timeless Stalag riddim. Ladies and gentleman, let´s give a round of applause for Mary J. Blige.
