Sweet Jamaica

Found this on the Man Recordings blog. It´s an amazing documentary on the growth of reggae music. Take your time, cause it`s nearly 90 minutes long, and listen and learn. Thanks to the BBC for this jewel of musical history...

Some people think I’m bonkerz, But I just think I’m free!

Chris De Luca is hardly a newcomer to the game. His original project Funkstörung (K7! Records) was responsible for giving quality glitch makeovers to artists such as Björk and the Wu-Tang Clan - and that's years before someone even thought of calling the style Glitch!

More recently, as one half of project CLP, Mr. De Luca dented plenty a dj playlist with hard hitters dropping on Boysnoize Records and T-Raumschmiere's Shitkatapult Records.

His latest tune entitled Word Up! is a furious Techno - Glitch anthem that's driven by a bounce so heavy – it'll turn any soundsystem to shreds on contact.

The package comes with a batch of MASSIVE and cut strictly for-the-dancefloor remixes by Trouble & Bass, Mikix The Cat, Plastic Little and the duo Super Super.

Now this is what a forward thinking dance music release should sound like! My personal favorite is the Super Super remix. Release date will be the 4th of March on Chris own label Be Bonkerz. Enjoy...

Ain't Enuff

New stuff from The Dynamic Duo aka The Cheerz. They are known for their eclectic musical style. Mixing French House and Rap Music to Bmore with some Fidget and a pinch of Hip House they've created a new style they've called " HIPJET ". For me it`s great club music. Enjoy...

Go! Pop! Bang!

It´s been a long time!! `Go! Pop! Bang! ` the debut album of Rye Rye is finally released in the U.S.. Rye Rye began performing at the age of 16. Her song "Shake It To The Ground," produced in collaboration with DJ Blaqstarr, was a club hit in 2006.

This remix is still one of my favorites...

Shake It To The Ground (Claude VonStroke Mix)

This song caught M.I.A.s attention and the next years Rye Rye toured with her. She is also the first artist signed to M.I.A.'s record label N.E.E.T.. Her debut album was set to come out in March 2009, but its release was delayed. On September 30, 2009, she had a baby girl.

As a teaser, Rye Rye released the Ryeot Powrr mixtape and silly spellings aside, it’s over an hour of relentless Hi-NRG tunes produced by DJ Sega featuring a twist of club hits, booming rap, B-more beats and stuttering electro. Go hard.

Grab the tape for free, it`s a little cheesy but more fun...

Back To the 90s
